Effective January 1, 2009 all new staff must successfully pass a drug test.

Employee Testimonials

"CLC has provided me with knowledge and understanding of the DD population. I have had many great experiences and opportunities throughout my nineteen years of employment. It has given me a second family of which I dearly love. It is our job to provide the best care to our residents but I believe it is the love that we put into our jobs that is important. I have been given an unconditional love from our guys, they have been supportive when I have been sad and they share joy when I am happy. Their innocence reminds me of the simple part of life, which is really the only important thing in life. Being happy and being loved. Not only do the residents help me to enjoy my work but I have made best friends of whom I also love dearly. They are just one more reason that I enjoy working for CLC!"

"I have been an employee of CLC for more than 20 years. There are many things I appreciate about the company. The most important to me is the opportunity to be gainfully employed and still be a good mother to my son. I have never missed a field trip or a class party. If my son was sick someone was always willing to fill in and help me out. My son has benefited from being in the CLC family too. He has learned we are all people and we are all different. But in most ways we are all the same. We are all people who have feelings."

"I have been working for CLC for over 5 years as their bookkeeper. I can honestly say that every day is a new and exciting adventure. The challenges can be intense but at the same time exhilarating. Even though I work in the main office, I have the opportunity to see a few clients on a daily basis. The events that are scheduled for our clients' enjoyment as well as the fundraisers I participate in for their benefit, all give me the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with not only our staff and clients but their families as well. My experience with CLC has been unbelievably rewarding, not only to myself but to my family as well. This is a very special company. I find it a privilege to work here and I am proud to be a part of the CLC team."
