Wagner House

Wagner House is named for Mary Wagner, CLC founder. It opened in 1988 and is the agency's "senior home". Because Mary always had a vision of the future, Wagner was built to serve the needs of our consumers as they age. This home is nestled on a large private lot in Farmington Hills near Orchard Lake and Fourteen Mile, and is surrounded by woods.

The Mary Wagner group home serves the needs of 15 individuals, both male and female. Two married couples reside in the home. The youngest resident is 50 years old and the oldest is 84. To reside at this house, one must be at least 50 years old. This home also meets the needs of individuals with medical problems as long as the individual meets the age requirement. Three residents with Down Syndrome are in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. As CLC serves many individuals with Down Syndrome, this home may eventually serve more Down/Alzheimer's individuals.

Even though the consumers here are older, it does not mean that they are not busy and do not go out of the home. The majority of consumers bowl every Saturday. Several consumers still work on a daily basis. They go out to the movies, dinner, the theatre and Costick Senior Center where they enjoy lunch, bingo and holiday parties.
