VLV

The VLV home is tucked away in a quaint neighborhood in Royal Oak. The home was donated to CLC in 1976 by the VonEberstein family, whose daughter is a CLC consumer.

Six ladies live in the home, and their ages range from 30 to 60 years old. They all work very hard at the New Horizons workshop. When not at work, the ladies keep themselves busy with swimming and exercise during the week and are dedicated bowlers on the weekends. A new interest they have picked up is fishing! The home manager, Misty is a passionate fisher woman. This is a rare activity within our homes, so these ladies are really living a cultured lifestyle!

VLV house is staffed with a very supportive team. Retired home manager Sr. Ellen Schmitz is still with us as an "on-call-sub". Because Ellen is so organized and ran the house so well, it was a smooth transition for Misty, the new home manager.
